Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 pound premium ground beef or ground turkey
  • ½ finely chopped onion
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 28-oz can tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 cups Roadrunner Chile Company Gourmet Red Chile Cooking Sauce
  • 1 16-oz can of pinto or red beans, drained and divided
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet, add onions and peppers and cook about 2 minutes over medium low heat.
  2. Add ground beef, increase heat to medium, cook and crumble beef until brown. Drain.
  3. Mix in soup, tomatoes, salt, and chile sauce.
  4. Mash ½ of the beans and stir thoroughly into the chili. Cover the skillet and simmer at very low heat for one hour.
  5. Add the remaining beans (unmashed), heat through and serve.
